Lim Anuar


Lim Anuar is known as a Deaf artist, illustrator and designer from Kuala Lumpur. He graduated with a degree in Interior Architecture from the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology and had more than 25 years of working experience in designing, drawing and painting in conceptual designs. He have the ability to work on other media such as batik painting, acrylic painting, water colour painting, ink & pen drawing and mural painting. He is a full time artist now and currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in visual art.

Lim is a self taught artist. His interest in art developed when he was in primary school. Dragon and phoenix were his favourite objects of art when he started drawing. He participated in many competitions; local and abroad and won many awards. He represented Malaysia’s disabled community in numerous exhibitions and competitions. In the 8th International Abilympic competition, Korea (2011), he represented Malaysia and won the gold medal. Recently his paintings were selected by the National Art Gallery and Matrade for the inaugural Arts Kuala Lumpur-Miami 2013 exhibition in Miami, Florida in conjunction with the Art Basel week.
